After the first heavy rain, water kept pooling against the stone foundation of our 1920s house and I knew we needed more than a quick fix. I hired this Hardscaper company to regrade the side yard and install a paver walkway with proper drainage, and their team actually walked me through how they were setting the slope at a quarter inch per foot so runoff would move away from the house. What stood out was how they adjusted the base layers when they realized the old soil was too compacted, instead of just laying pavers over it and calling it done. We just had another storm last week and for the first time since moving in, the basement walls stayed completely dry.
